The Wishing Well

The Wishing Well

Dempsey's most recent composition project was The Wishing Well, a children's ballet based on the Charles Perrault fairytale Diamonds and Toads. She collaborated with choreographer and entrepreneur Sophia Schmitz to write and produce the ballet. The work was performed by ballerinas from The Beat Dance Company, the Black Swamp Fine Arts School, and Ballet Theater of Toledo. Musicians were students from Bowling Green State University. The Wishing Well premiered on April 2, 2016 at the Bowling Green High School Performing Arts Center as a free community arts event.
